Why does my MEDION MD 17739 Ice Maker indicate a fault by flashing LEDs?
After prolonged use, depending on the lime content of the tap water, a layer of lime deposits builds up on the bottom of the water tray with ice scoop.
This can lead to a blockage of the ice scoop, which is indicated as a malfunction by the LEDs flashing. You should check your ice cube maker and remove this coating if necessary.
Use commercially available descaling powder for this. Dissolve about 1/4 teaspoon of the powder in lukewarm water and pour it onto the bottom of the ice tray. Let this solution soak in for some time, also observe the instructions for the descaling powder used. Then remove the solution and clean and rinse the floor well.
