How do I fix the poor print image on the Epson EcoTank printer?

Epson uses fixed print heads which, if the printer is shut down improperly, e. g. by simply switching off the power, are not properly sealed and can dry out.

To rectify this error, Epson offers the so-called power cleaning function in every Ecotank printer. If the ink is very dry, it may be necessary to wait up to 12 hours for the power cleaning to take effect and then repeat it if necessary (softening of the ink).

⚠️Note⚠️ Depending on the model, the Power cleaning can be menu-guided via the optional display or in the Utility tab of the print settings of the Epson ET printer under the devices of the Windows settings.
