X7843 Keyboard not working properly

Hi,

Recently my X7843 keyboard has become difficult to use and requires hard presses to get quite a few of the keys to work. It's no longer made, my question is would other keyboards work if a different MC or MD? My computer is XZ843, MD 99558, MC 30018710. I can find keyboards on line but not sure if they would work.

Any help is appreciated.
