My PC currently has the 2x16GB RAM sticks that came with it as standard. They are labelled as 5600 MHz.
Despite the product page clearly stating "up to 5600 MHz" (German: https://www.medion.com/de/service/product-detail/10025791), they are running at 4400 MHz.
I checked in the BIOS and it clearly states their current speed is 4400 MHz with no option to change their speed or profile.
Is this locked by Medion? If yes, why does it state up to 5600 MHz if this isn't possible?
Thanks in advance!

Appreciate the suggestion.
I've just successfully updated the BIOS but there aren't any new options regarding RAM frequency. It still says "RAM frequency: 4400 MHz" on the main page.

@Harland
According to the internal Medion database, the computer with MSN 10025791 has RAM modules installed with the following specifications:
2x 8 GB DDR5-SDRAM (PC5-38400U / 4800 MHz) Dual Channel Memory (2/2 slots covered; 64 GB max.)
If you even have 5600 MHz RAM in your computer, all the better. That provides more security.
However, this only tells you something about the technical specifications of the RAM modules. It doesn't mean that the computer has to access the RAM at this maximum possible frequency.
Even the statement "Up to 5600 MHz" only refers to the technical specifications of the RAM modules only.
The misconception is that if the RAM has these high specs, the computer would also have to adress the RAM at that speed.
Thats not said anywhere..
Bye

I find that very misleading. The spec. page clearly states the mainboard is able to support speed of up to 5600 MHz:
https://www.medion.com/de/service/product-detail/10025791
Where does it state it's locked by Medion to 4400 MHz? Please show me. In the BIOS, there isn't even an option to change the profile. All it shows is the locked 4400 MHz speed - I noticed you've mentioned to another user this is locked by Medion.

If you want to speak to somebody, it would be polite to address the User, with a @ before his name. A list with all the participants in this thread will open to make your choice.
Yes , but your RAM is like I said already and stated like this:
---> 2x 8 GB DDR5-SDRAM (PC5-38400U / 4800 MHz) Dual Channel Memory (2/2 Slots covered; 64 GB max.)
And it is nowhere said you could change RAM profile, like XMS etc.
But don't shout at me! I am just another User, not a Medion man.
However, this only tells you something about the technical specifications of the RAM modules. It doesn't mean that the computer has to access the RAM at its maximum possible frequency
.So it can not run faster than this but max 4800 MHz. Or if for safety reasons the max speed is locked by 4400MHz, that's a feature of the OEM Bios.
Bye, daddle
