The screen on my Deputy P50 Is not turning on

I purchased this computer like a month ago, and it had this problem when turning on from sleep mode, but i ran a diagnostic with the service app and it seemed fixed. Recently, when i turned the computer power on, It started showing only a black screen, even if the keyboard backlights and everything was on. Sometimes it solved by turning It off and on again, but today, no matter what i do, the screen won't turn on. Is there anything i can do? Is it a common problem? (the last diagnostic i ran was yesterday, It updated something for Windows and the NVIDIA drive, but everything else came out positive).

Hi @tinahplays ,

it´s sad to hear, that you´re experiencing a couple of issues and one question would be, if at least the light indicatopns turn on, when the power supply is plugged in.
Before raising a support ticket for this unconventional behaviour I´d like you to try this Community tutorial.
So you can check, if things can be sorted out in an alternative way.

Otherwise you might consider contacting your local MEDION service to find a rapid solution.

Cheers

 Hi @tinahplays

this may be caused by a Windows update please try the below steps and if this does not work please contact your local Medion service centre MEDION service

  • Go to Nvidia site and download latest driver (keep)
  • Go to device manager > Display Adaptors (right click) > Tick box attempt the uninstall > then uninstall
  • Go back to device manager and Microsoft Display drivers will show
  • Go online and Intel site will have "Intel ARC centre" and download driver for their laptop (it will search automatically)
  • Then download Nvidia driver you already have
  • Restart unit

Thanks
