Pc won’t start after electricity was turned off.

Hey,

My friend turned off the electricity in the house because he was working on something. When that happened my pc obviously shut down and went black because the power was cut. We turned everything on and my monitor has power but the pc won’t turn on. It’s completely dead. I’ve tried unplugging the power cables and stuff but nothing works. Been about 30+ min now and still nothing. It just won’t turn on. Any idea what’s up? Is it a feature of some sort of safety or something?

Help appreciated asap!

Hello @Infz and welcome
how did the friend switch off?
due to a short circuit or by switching off the house fuse?
use a measuring device or consumer to check whether there is electricity at the socket to the pc. did you connect an overvoltage protection upstream and it triggered?
if there is power, try a residual current discharge and if that doesn't work, briefly remove the cmos battery
