P15805 Noise

Hi all,

I recently purchased the P15805 and noticed pretty quickly that it is strangely noisy - it actually sounds like it has a HDD, even though it has a SSD. This is even when idling, as well as when running games.

Is this normal? I've upgraded from a clunky, old laptop with a HDD so was expecting a drastic difference. Even my old work laptop with SSD doesn't make this noise. 🤔

ETA: The noise seems to be drastically reduced, but not eliminated, when the laptop is put into power saving mode. 🤔

Hi @deanmed ,

this is the type of question which is difficult to answer because it depends on perception, unless there is a clear issue, such as overheating or failing SSD. Is that the case?
