Medion X40 Beast Display not working !!!

Hi I recently purchased the X40 Beast (4080/i7) variant and now the display no longer turns on after it froze and the laptop would not turn off so I let the battery run down and tried turning it on again but sadly the display is no longer turning on the laptop itself powers on and the keys light up but then turns off and restarts after a few minutes, so I need help in resolving the issue cheers.

Hi,

Here are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot the problem:

1. Force a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect any external devices (USB drives, peripherals, etc.).
  • Power off the laptop completely.
  • Hold the power button for 60 seconds to perform a hard reset. This will discharge any residual power in the system and may help resolve some power-related issues.
  • After the reset, try turning the laptop on again.

2. Check for Display Output:

  • It's possible that the issue is with the display itself. Try connecting your laptop to an external monitor or TV via HDMI or DisplayPort. This will help determine if the laptop is working properly but the internal display is the issue.
  • If the external monitor works, the issue is likely with the laptop's screen, and you may need to repair the unit.

3. Boot into Safe Mode:

  • If you can get any video output, even briefly, try booting into Safe Mode:
    1. Turn the laptop off completely.
    2. Turn it back on, and as soon as the logo appears, press the F8 key repeatedly to bring up the Advanced Boot Options.
    3. Select Safe Mode and press Enter.
    4. Once in Safe Mode, try updating drivers or performing a system restore if you suspect any recent software issues.

4. Check for BIOS Reset:

  • Sometimes, BIOS corruption can cause these kinds of issues. To reset the BIOS:
    1. Turn off the laptop.
    2. Hold the F2 key (or another key depending on your system) while turning the laptop on to enter the BIOS setup.
    3. Look for an option to restore default settings or reset the BIOS.
    4. Save and exit, then try powering up again.
