Hi,
Hope some can help, I have a Medion desktop with Intel 13700 ECS B760 motherboard and RTX4070. I recently upgraded the RAM and there is no way to adjust the RAM speed in th BIOS. My new and old RAM runs at only 4400. Any ideas?
Original RAM is Samsung DDR5 4800
New RAM is Transcend DDR5 5600
Both run at 4400
MD 34400
MSN 10025109
BIOS version: 760H7EMW0X.209
Many thanks,
Mark

Hi
4400 MHz ist just 10 % under it''s capacity. Windows Medion puts RAM in a little bit higher MHz rate, to give you a better margin of safety.
The 4800 MHz RAM is installed does not mean that the computer utilizes these 4800 MHz completely.

Edit: Typo

Thanks for responding, BIOS reporting 4400 on a 5600mt JEDEC ram seems wrong though. Seems like it's enforced in the BIOS as there is no way to change the timings.
I am not looking to enable XMP since my RAM has a 5600 JEDEC profile.. I just want it to run at the default speed which is not 4400.
Thanks!

The PC is configured and sold to run at 4400 MHz. Thats limited by chipset and I guess fixed Bios settings in the OEM BIos.
Jedec infos are a listing only. It shows which speed the RAM moduls are capable for. But the other hardware must support it. Before you get upset , I am not a Medion employee; i am just another user with a little bit more experience.

No worries, thanks for responding!
It's just odd as I never seen this configuration with before.
I wish we had more access to BIOS settings to get the most out of our hardware. Running at speeds below JEDEC spec is not ideal.
Hopefully someone at Medion sees this, I have also emailed support directly in case they can help.
Thanks!
