Lets talk about x40

HI. I have an x40 with 4080rtx graphic card. Last 2 month i update the bios to  1.18 EX 0.27 and at that time i believed the game runs ok. But, my laptop got fixed with some issues like freeze, white screen and now i have some graphics issues on Diablo4 and THE LAST OF US part1 on full ULTRA  and MEDIUM settings (both seams the same). Its not an windows problem because i reinstaled several times or rtx drivers. Is there are new bios update or anytime soon. This 3k euro laptop i feel like is going to die. 😞

Yeah that was me who updated to an XMG bios. Works flawlessly. It’s the same machine.

Now I’m to on one of XMG BIOS N.1.23A12 and EC 1.14 for RTX 4080/4090 thanks to @r3nfolly

Something bothers me, I have THE LAST OF US part2 PC version and the game graphics is horrible, with ultra settings. My graphic card is rtx4080 12GB vram. Diablo4 meh, Dota2 flawless. And no fps drops on any of this games.

Which  means your Beast X40 has the same board as the ones in the XMG?

I am very surprised by this. As far as I knew only part 1 was out and I can’t seem to find part 2 anywhere on pc…

Do you think that somehow the bad graphics are related to a system bios? I don’t know how that would be even possible.

Are there other games with problems? Are you even saying that these problems arose after the bios update?

Also, did you update the drivers? Even a reinstall of the drivers could fix issues.

That seems to be the case.

I read something about there being two manufacturers for the same machine, TongFang and Clevo, but I don’t know who makes what for who.

I just know that my Medion X40 happily ran the XMG bios. I’m now actually on an Eluktro bios, but that was custom made by someone for me, not available for anyone else.
