Erazer x7830

Greetings and hi all!

I have an erazer x7830 notebook. When first i brought home and powered on, it took me in the bios, so i changed some values in bios, and after that it will not go through the "medion logo".

I've already tried resetting the cmos battery, i've disconnected the battery from the motherboard.I give her a new thermal paste, already taken out the cpu and put it back in. I tried to clean the ports if there is a short circuit. I've reseated the mxm videocard also. It has no ssd/hdd, but the rams are in their slot, but not on the rear side where the cpu and heatsinks are, rather at the front, and i dont know how to disconnect the keyboard to reach the ramslots. I've tried to unscrew the keyboard holding screws on the back, but unfortunately there are more screws holding the keyboard. I think i have to dissassembly the whole system.

Any ideas what gone wrong ? The laptop is in new condition by the way.

Anyone has a service document for this modell, i would really appreciate it!

hi @shaman101

you mention it has no SSD/HDD installed, as long as the CPU and RAM are working it will only boot to the BIOS and the mainboards electronic parts will work, it will go no further with out a drive.

It seems the x7830 is from 2014 and originally came with the below drives installed.

HDD 1TB HTS541010A9E680

SSD 2.5", SanDisk Mini SSD mSATA-S2 64GB

thanks

Hi, and thank you for the response.

Unfortunately i cant get past the medion logo boot screen. First when i brought it home, it got into bios instantly, but since then it wont boot to bios.

Maybe the msata drive is corrupted ? i thought it had a 2.5 ssd drive, rather than the msata ssd, i have to check for the msata drive, but i dont know where to find it.

i've bought it without any kind of drive. It has the mxm videocard and the rams installed for sure. No any other peripherals.

you could make a bootstick with the Microsoft MediaCreationTool , min 8GB, 64-bit Windows, and to be made for another PC

This you should insert before switching the PC on. Then the UEFi bios should boot from the stick.

You also could try  a second attempt with the stick inserted.

Or press the F10  tab  when switching on (stick still inserted) then the separate Bootmenü should appear. Herein you should see the USB drive. And choose it to boot from

With some pcs it is the F8 or F7 tab instead.

cheers, daddle

@shaman101

The question is how and with what did you create the stick?

The MediaCreationTool Stick is universal. It is the better solution for testing purposis.

Hi again!

I tried one more time with the media creation tool, but it does not matter if i make the stick with the tool, it wont boot.

I think maybe there is a little msata ssd, or one of the ram sticks are bad. Unfortunately i cant reach the ram slots, 'cause they are under the keyboard, so i have to completely dissassembly it first.

Are there no beep? A ram fault should give beeps. Also a defective graphic chip .

If you haven't yet, then take all SSD out and test if the laptop boots into bios.. Defective SSDs can cause such behavior.
