Good evening, I recently bought this nice looking gaming laptop, Deputy P50 featuring i7 13700HX and Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU along with 16gb dual channel ddr5 memory.
Super happy with hardware configuration but there Is a very big problem with CPU temperature as it reaches 98-100°C after few minutes of gaming.
I tried from Control Center an undervolting feature but it's missing. The BIOS has no setting at all, so I just tried Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (officially supporting i7 13700HX) but program tells undervolting Is disabled.
I'm figuring out a way to improve thermals, so I ask support to Medion team to urgently provide a BIOS that allows undervolt protection disabling; this will improve thermals and notebook life, along with customer satisfaction.
Without that feature, notebook Is basically unusable while gaming, not providing the pure performance that could come from this marvellous hardware spec.
Please provide feedback and support.
Regards,
Maurizio

Any support from Medion AG?
Need to unlock undervolt capability to optimize thermal. CPU Is fully limited, I also experienced very poor performance on Cinebench 2024 multicore. Please supporto for me and plenty of other users. Regards

HI @Toxsysdwn and first of all sorry for the late reply.
To investigate on your issues we need the 8-digit MSN article number (3003xxxx) which is printed on the lower case of the laptop.
Could you moreover please check on the start screen of the Bios which Bios version (like 1.07.23RME1) is currently installed on your system, which Control Center version you´re running and if there maybe is an update available via the Microsoft Store.
Cheers

Hi @Toxsysdwn ,
with quite a lot parallel Community traffic I unfortunately wasn´tr aware of your answer. To mention a community user so that they are notified when you reply, write an @ sign in front of their name (e.g. @Major_Tom).
However,
your recent Bios seems to be a rather „ancient“ version so you can feel free to load a updated one, which is1.07.23RME1 https://cdn.medion.com/downloads/software/00_Bios_Defender_P40_Deputy_P50.zip

Thank you @Major_ToM for your reply.
Before starting the BIOS update, is there any change log file to ensure the update could help?
In the zip file there is no info file, honestly I'm not feeling confident to update without knowing what is changing.

Maurizio

@Toxsysdwn ..unfortunatelyour Tech dept.has no changelog file in hand for this revision,so I suppose the usual improvements, stability optimisations, updated microcodes and security patches to be arranged with this new bios version, but I don´t know it for sure.
