Eraser Beast x40 how do I remove the back cover

The model is the i9 14900hx with 4090.

I've removed the 12 screws & the 2 rear ones sides of the water cooling fitting.

The cover will lift up at the front of the laptop but not the rear, seems to be connected to the fan exhausts as they flex with the cover when lifting.

I can't find any clues in the manual or forums & YouTube vids

dear @tipsythomas

It seems that you have done everything correctly and those are the correct screws, all I can think is that it has over heated and the plastic has melted onto the fan.

please let us know how you have got on.

Thanks

I'll have another look at it over the weekend, it shouldn't have melted tho as it's ment to be bran new! It had all the protection still on & since I'm concerned about the Intel CPU problems I've kept it on silent/office mode.
