Hello, I have an Erazer x7831 and the keyboard has stopped working because it fell water, I have to change it and I wanted to take advantage of it and replace it with a keyboard of the new models that come backlit ... Is it possible that it works? Has anyone tried it? Thanks and regards.
I've not been able to find a version of the X7831 which has a factory-installed backlit keyboard, I'm not sure if a backlit keyboard needs any additional hardware to power and / or controll the LEDs. If so, I doubt this extra hardware is available in the notebook.
My guess is you wont be able to get it to function, but I dont have the possibility to test it myself, so I cant be sure.
