Black screen with green lines when switching to 144hz

Yesterday, my computer was working fine, but when I came back after 10 minutes, the screen turned black with green lines. To fix it, I went into safe mode and reset my entire PC and drives, which took a few hours. However, after the reset, I tried to set my monitor back to its usual 144Hz refresh rate. But every time I did that, the screen went black with green lines and then switched back to 60Hz on its own.
