I'm getting a lot of crashes/black screens etc while gaming, including sometimes when starting or even closing gaming applications.
Current bios versions/date: american magetrends international llc n.1.23MEB08, 01/08/2023
SMBIOS version: 3.5
I see no software listed on medion downloads when I input the above MSN (40085445)
When I input the product name (Beast X40-MD 62574) I get download results available for a device with the same name, but a different MSN (3003 6108), which is weird -- not clear what the correct MSN for my product is
But anyway the bios listed under the 3003 MSN is the same one I currently have installed, so is there a new one I could try? Or some other software?
Thanks

Hello
The MSN you mentioned, 4008 5445, and the device with MSN 3003 6108, both have the MD 62574 and are the same notebook.
Only a moderator can tell you if a newer BIOS version is available.
@Major_ToM would you be so kind as to...

Hi @gm123123 ,
doublechecked things in detail about your ERAZER Beast X40 and as a matter of fact the latest available Bios version is N1.23MED08.but the date of the .rom file should´t be from 2023 bt from Nov 2024
Can you please confirm this?
Cheers

Hello,
I got the date (01/08/2023) from System Information. I'm not sure how to locate the specific file you mentioned (gmxpx9xn123med08.rom)
From Powershell, the serial no. of my bios is xxx, Version - Medion 1072009
Should I install the N1.23MED08 bios file available on Medion's driver downloads site? That file was created Nov 2024.
Thanks for checking (also daddle)

Hi @gm123123 ,
if you have the version N1.23MED08 already installed on the machine, you don´t need to run the update twice.
N1.23MED08 is definetely the recent one.
And please remove your serial no. information, which is an individual identification number no other user should see.
Cheers

It's a bit funny. Normally the ms32 info gives exact the version and date of the ROM.
@gm123123 schrieb:Using msinfo32 gives me the System Information pop up, which showed the 01/08/2023 date.
Please also state the exact version name you found in msinfo32 also.
I did also notice that @gm123123 is speaking of version 1.23 N1.23MEB08 ( gm123123 corrected in the former post with out noticing)
While you, Major_ToM, talk about version N1.23MED08. Which surely is the correct name.
Well, the tab B is diagonally 2 1/2 tabs away from tab D. Therefore a typo is less likely.
May be he made a reading or transcripting error.
Using msinfo32 gives the System Information pop up, which "showed the 01/08/2023 date".
But the installed versions name he didn't copy.

Thanks. I wonder how it c an happen.
@Major_ToMsays the date of the .rom file should(n)´t be from 2023 bt from Nov 2024".
The question is which fact is more relevant, the ROM date or the update name with the different date.
N.1.23 MED08, 01/08/2023
SMBIOS Version: 3.5.
