ERAZER Engineer E10 - DDR4 frequency problem

Hello.
I bought ERAZER Engineer E10

Motherboard:
B560H6-EM2 V1.0         - must support DDR4 - 3200 MHz  
bios ver. 560h6em2.116          - seems it is last version.
Memory initially was 8 Gb (from Medion), formally on the memory bank was text 3200 MHz, but in BIOS was number only 2933 MHz. It was already strange.
I bought new Corsair 16 Gb 3200 MHz and got 2133 MHz in BIOS 🙂 

Bios settings are very poor. Can not improve it. No XMP, any clocks or smt. like this.

Please give advice, how to correct it?
Buy another more rich DDR4?

HI Evgenii,

be glad your memory runs at least at 2933 MHz, if I do understand  you correctly.
Read thid´s thread in the german forum; it is the same subject. Do use google translate.

The main thing is, in your OEM Bios you can not activate XMP, Usually then memory should run at a fixed Jedec speed of 2933 MHz

With the other guys PC the memory only runs at 2133 MHz. But we are not sure if it is the originally built in RAM because he bought his PC second hand.

Probable solution from German forum is :
It needs 3200MHz modules with only 1.2V voltage.
🙂

Still don't understand why producers write on demo page https://www.medion.com/es/service/product-detail/10024292 info about 3200 MHz.
It is 3200 only in theory - if change motherboard.

No, you are misled.

XMP memory needs1.35 V. Normal memory for your board has 1.2 V like all DDR4 memrory, Read the other post s in german thread.

The board can only achieve 2933 MHz; installed memory is a bit better, it could reach 3200 MHz. But only the maximun frequency the board can support will be utilized, the 2933 MHz.  

This also serves operational safety, as a memory designed for 3200 MHz still has safety reserves when used with the frequency of 2933 MHz on the boards. So there is no way to go higher!

 

And it's a bit of a nuisance. First you buy a simple quite cheap PC, and afterwards you expect and  want to change a "Seat" into a "Mercedes". This doesn't work.

Okey, 2933 MHz is good for me too, but my new memory downgraded 3200 MHz to 2133 MHz.
Its is not pleasant.

And why you compare 3200 MHz with Mercedes? In 2024 year 3200 MHz is not Mercedes a very long time ago.

And I bought my new memory for additional money, it is not for free for me.

I am not Medion, nor an employee.  So don't blame me. But the memory specs says 3200 MHz, not the specs of the PC.  The memory could run at 3200 MHZ.  The mainboard allows only 2933. But those given specs do not  implicate the PC runs at 3200 MHz.  That ist the user assumes the given 3200 MHz  refers to the PC.

Anyway,a clever advertising statement in this form.  😉

 

Can't you  exchange the memory you purchased against  memory  with 1.2 V and 3200 MHz. Best thing is to check which memory was built in. Take a second 8 GB module from the same manufacturer. It should be printed on the module which one it is.  But no XMP, if it isn't possible to regulate it in Bios.

Okey . Thank you for advice. Do you think that DDR4 with
1)3200 MHz with 22 CL  - (in fact it will working at 2933 MHz as I understand)  will be better then my current variant 

VS
2)3200 MHz in theory but in fact working at 2133 MHz but with CL16?

So: 2933 MHz + 22 CL  - VS -   2133 MHz + CL16?
Just interesting your opinion.

Trick with 3200 MHz  sounds like -

if I sell car and named it airplane 🙂 because if set motor of car to airplane, it will fly.
