Activating "Auto Power On" After Power Failure for MEDION S06e MD35340 N100 mini pc

Hello everyone,

I am trying to find how to activate "auto power on" (after power outage) for my MEDION S06e MD35340 N100 Mini PC, but I cannot find anything in the settings or the BIOS.
I haven’t found any options like "Power failure: Always On" or "Restore on AC Power Loss", Chipset/PCH-IO configuration/S0, OEM Configuration:AC Power Loss...

Has anyone encountered this issue or knows if this feature is supported? If so, could you guide me on where to locate it?

I apologize if this has been answered before, I couldn't find a post on this subject.

Thank you for your help!

Hello @fafalala and welcome.
This setting may not be available in the BIOS.
Why should it turn itself back on after a power cut?
Do you unplug the device every time? This is discouraged in the manual:

Hello @Fishtown , thank you and thanks for your reply!

I have installed Home Assistant, and I would like it to run when I'm not at home. In case there is a temporary power outage, I would like the device to restart after the power is back. I will rarely turn it off manually, and never unplug it.

Hello @fafalala ,
If there's nothing in the BIOS, your only option is to modify the hardware so that it turns itself on.

That should work. Let me think about it for a moment.

Are you technically savvy? Do you dare to make changes?

Hello @Fishtown thanks for your help!

I am definitely open to making changes, on the technical side it could work 🙂

Could it work by adding an external switch?

Hi @fafalala

I'll send you something via private message right away.

You may also need to configure something in Windows.

Please check if there's a checkmark there.

Under "Settings/System/About"

Advanced system settings (related links)

Start and restore/ Settings

System errors/ Automatically restart (is the checkmark there?)

bye Fishtown

I experience the same issue.  (Medion S06e).

Most systems have a setting in the BIOS to go from G3 (hard power off) -> S5 (which is in the Medion PC's BIOS), or S0-> Power On...

How can this option be set in the BIOS of this system.

Same environment, small simple PC running HA-OS (when it powers up), (Home Assistant, and it requires to be powered on after powerfailure for House Management).
Note: there is no windows on this system.....   (same as previous asker).

Additional Note:
WoL doesn't seem to work, although it is enabled in the BIOS.?
