Medion is responsible for providing the required BIOS update because they are the OEM vendor that customized and signed the firmware for the device. The system’s Secure Boot keys, TPM behavior, and firmware update mechanisms are all controlled at the BIOS level, which only the OEM can modify and redistribute safely. Microsoft’s security updates rely on firmware support, but they do not supply or maintain device-specific BIOS implementations. Since Medion chose, configured, and locked the firmware for this hardware, only they can deliver a compatible update that restores compliance with current security requirements without risking system stability or integrity.
