To fix it, try checking Device Manager for the touchpad driver and updating it, or use Windows Update to find a compatible driver. If that doesn’t work, you can look for the touchpad driver on the manufacturer's site, or try rolling back to a previous driver if available. If nothing works, uninstalling the driver and restarting the laptop may prompt Windows to reinstall a generic driver automatically.
