I had the same problem and fixed it myself. Not pretty but works without any problems, both hinges broke. Drilled hole through hinge (very hard metal to drill through) and laptop lid and fitted a m6 hex head allen bolt, nut and largest washer i could find, ( nut was tightened on lid side i used a dremmel to cut bolt flush with top of nut, being careful to do this in stages so not to damage lid with applying too much heat) . To prevent cracking i masked off an area about 2 inch square around bolt on lid and used a 2 part shop bought quick setting resin. Emery paper scuffed surface and put a layer down and then created a rebar mesh using flattened staples. Lengthwise top to bottom and then covered with another layer of resin. Won't let me upload photos. Laptop working last 6 months. without any cracking issues. It was have a go or 1300 for a new laptop!!!
