Hi, I'm having problems adding a M.2 NVMe SSD storage device to my computer. The added SSD device is not detected by Windows (under "This PC", the "device manager", "disk management" or in the BIOS). Both storage devices are M.2 connected NVMe devices, but I'm a bit confused about the slot on the motherboard I'm trying to connect to. Specs: Old (working) SSD: NVMe E15-512G-PHISON-SSD-B47R New (not detected) SSD: Samsung 980 M.2 NVMe SSD 1TB Motherboard: Medion b660h7-m20 The website with documentation for the motherboard is not available online: https://www.ecs.com.tw/en/Product/Motherboard/B660H7-M20/specification. However, I found a similar question the German forum: https://community.medion.com/t5/Desktop-PC-All-In-One/M2-Slots-f%C3%BCr-P63018/td-p/141206. The M.2 slot I'm trying to use is the one that is indicated on the picture, and on the motherboard it's next to the label "M2_SATA". All of the involved M.2 connectors are, as far as i can tell on visual inspection, m-key. As far as I can tell, the M.2 slot i'm trying to connect to should support the SSD card I'm connecting. But I'm confused by all the different specifications involved (different M.2 connectors, PCIe vs. SATA III etc).
