@AndrewP @daddle  Update: I finally managed to get back to driver 2.2.1.383 from 2.2.1.384 I am not familiar with CAB files. It has taken the best part of this morning, (3 hours) I still don’t understand what I did, or how 2.2.1.383 managed to show up in the driver update section. As soon as I saw it. I highlighted it and clicked next. Bingo.   I tried typing in an online notepad, seems good. No double typed letters.   Now the to re-install all my software.   A BIG THANK to both of you for helping me out. I really appreciate you both taking your valuable time. Thanks for replying Can you tell where you downloaded from? I tried two separate sites, claiming 2.2.1.383, but when checked after unzipping, I’ve only got 1.1.1.318. I appreciate any response, in advance. ... Afficher plus

I am still having issues with this (double letter) typing. I started from scratch, did a full recovery - now just a basic pc. I tried installing 2.2.1.383 drive, to over ride 2.2.1.384, The strange thing is the zip file may say 2.2.1.383, but the actual driver version that is extracted is 1.1.1.318 (Intel(R) HID Event Filter) Even with this, I am still double typing letters, even when I am precise with my typing. it even occurs when I go the the command prompt! is your laptop typing okay.     ... Glad it has worked out for you. I am still having issue. Even tried an uninstall. But no joy. I don't have the option of roll back. Looks like I will have to try a complete reinstall from scratch, and re-install all my apps. Long day ahead. Thanks for keeping me informed ... Afficher plus

Yes. When on thinking back I had that noticeable issue too. As you say, opening a window which displayed the contents, the spacing was increased.   The only thing I did prior to all of this was download iTunes. I have since deleted that, which makes no difference to my typing. I have had a look at the "nuts and bolts" under keyboard devices: I notice that there are two (drivers) with the same description. I am hesitant of deleting one over the other. (I'm guessing one may be interfering with the other, but that is just a guess) They both register the same information, apart from their descriptions: "on Converted Portable Device Control device" "on Intel(R) HID event Filter" I hope the screenshots show below.   I am every so tempted to uninstall then re-install. I had an issue with the taskbar too. The spacing between the icons was noticeable. I did a system reset which solved that part. But my other issue, was the typing. Regardless where I typed, a word document, or online,  I keep getting repeated letters or characters.   I have a Medion Notebook (Laptop) S4402 MD63410. Windows 10 Home. Bought August 2019, so still within the 3 year warranty   I contacted Microsoft. They asked me to connect and external keyboard That seemed to work without issue. I don't know if this is a Software or Hardware problem.   I changed the setting to reduce the repeat character function, but no joy.   Let me know if you get this resolved. I will do like-wise.
