Nothing in your post provided a clear answer and was factually incorrect... it was F12 that brings up the boot manager not F10. And also why 'hint' and not spell it out ? If you knew it was 32 bit only then say it... if you knew that the default media setup only does 64 bit and that I needed to select both 32 and 64 bit then say it..... No there was nothing wrong with the first USB stick; the problem was not knowing that it was 32 bit setup that was required (this is a secondary option on the USB setup). Doing the default media setup it only does 64 bit. You didnt give me any of this information in your 'help' or hint???   ... View more

This is what worked: I made a new Media Creation Tool and this time I selected both 64 bit and 32 bit. I pressed F12 and selected USB setup I selected 32bit and formatted the selected drive.   the F12 key brings up the boot manager (see image) but despite selecting USB HD Generic Disk it still wont boot from the USB stick. The stick was created as you sugested and works fine on other PC's. Ive reset the BIOS but it still  just loads the 'Choose your keyboard layout'  and then 'Advanced options' none of which solve the problem  ... View more
