Many thanks, B, for the prompt response & especially for taking the trouble to provide the 3 links. I'd already checked on the Crucial (although I couldn't get its scanner to come up with any SSD recommendations) and Mr Muscle sites but hadn't seen the Geeks to Go post. However, I had found another GtG post  (at http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/topic/360182-medion-p4020d-will-not-accept-2-x-4gb-ram/) which suggest that the system won't accept more than 4GB which is why I posted my question on this Forum. I wonder if the resolution lies in the detail of the RAM compatibility issues addressed in the post you helpfully cite....   Thanks again   D ... View more
