Why is my machine making unusual noises?

If there is a whistling noise, then the tap of the water inlet is probably not turned on properly, or food residues have slipped through the sieve and are hanging in the drain hose.

If there is a rattling/clacking sound, the spray arm could hit the dishes. Put the dishes away so that the spray arm can rotate freely.
