Need Help for old CRT monitor (Please Read)

Hi all, i recently picked up an old CRT monitor from a local seller in my area, and i have since taken it home and will be performing some calibrations to the screen tomorrow.

I figured this would be the best place to get help on this product, i am someone that collects CRT monitors as i find them to be superior in a lot of ways to modern screens, but really it is just personal preference, and i won't get into why i love them since i know most of you don't care.

The monitor in question is a Tevion model 1998C it's described as being a 19" Colour Monitor and i believe it was manufactured in 2000, and sold in Australia in ALDI stores.

I have been trying to find information online about this monitor, even using the wayback machine, but i could not find info about it, i came here because i know Medion was selling this monitors in Australia under the Tevion rebadge but even here on Medions website there is no information.

The only information i found was an old service manual for the Medion 19-inch Color Monitor
B1997PNST (MD 1998LE), i am assuming that this is the same monitor as what i have in front of me, typing on as we speak, since a lot of the specifications line up with what this monitor has.

What i wanted, was a normal user manual which i'm sure shipped with these monitors when they were still retailing, the service manual that i found has omitted some pretty basic things like features within OSD menu that i wanted more information on, since the service manual is as it says, it's a service manual and is meant for repair technicians.

Although the service manual does hold quite a good amount of information it does not contain information i am looking for.

I am hoping that with this post, someone that works for Medion will be able to assist me and be able to send a copy of the user manual for the Medion 19-inch Color Monitor B1997PNST (MD 1998LE) to my email address. I am aware that this might be a big ask considering how old this model is and i know support will be deprecated for it, but i really just need the manual and any and all help will be appreciated.

Hi Dan1999_ and welcome to our Community.

Your request was a real challenge, given that the CRT monitor 1998LE is, after all, 26 years old... but nothing gets lost in a well-maintained database! I will send you the English manual from November 2000 by email shortly.

However, please bear in mind that the brand "Tevion" was at that time a private label of the company Aldi, so our brand Medion is not necessarily the manufacturer behind it. Therefore, this CRT monitor may also have been produced by a different manufacturer.
