Media Browser P13210 TV will not play video or music

I have a 32" Medion P13210 TV. On my network I have two NAS devices. Synology DS214play and a WDmyCloud. Both are configured as DLNA servers. My Media browser identifies these devices but when an attempt is made to play a video or a music item (which can be seen in the menu) an error message 'Invalid or Unsupported file' accompnied by a a red circle with a diagonal line is displayed. The same movies and music on a USB stick are identified and play perfectly.
