Medion X6601 upgrades

Good afternoon to you and thank you for having me.

I have a Medion X6601 laptop which is as is from new.

what I was wondering is, would upgrading the SSD to say a wd black sn850? Would be a worthwhile upgrade and also upping the 16gb to 32gb?

I’m running Windows 11 and the laptop is being used for photo and graphic work

many x6601 were sold.

which only with HDD or with HDD and SSD M.2 SATA.

please state your MSN number.

You could replace the HDD with a 2.5" SSD and install another SSD M.2 PCIe or, if already installed,

replace the SSD M.2 SATA with an SSD M.2 PCIe (wd black sn850).

Slot2: One M.2 SATA/PCIe Gen3 x4 Solid State Drive (SSD)

RAM: DDR4 SO-DIMM (PC4-17000 / 2133 MHz) (2/2 Slots covered; 32GB max.)

Hi Fishtown,

thank you for your answer. 

this one has both the hdd and SSD m.2 sata 

I’ve looked all over the machine and can’t find any MSN number. 
all I know is it’s a X6601 md60313. With a bios 1.05.02 (don’t know if this is the latest)

I’ve just got the computer so don’t know much about it sorry

no problem

the MD 60313 has the MSN 30021502 is a barebone clevo N155RD1,

in which you installed:

RAM:2x 8192 MB

HDD:1TB SATA MQ01ABD100M 

SSD:M.2 / SATA (2280) 256GB Phison PS3111-S11

There is a newer bios : BIOS update MEDION ERAZER X6601 Windows 10 64 bit, from 03/07/2018 - Version: 1.05.05RME1
