Hello everyone.
I'm having a problem with my Medion Erazer x25 laptop, which is about 3 years old, so it's no longer under warranty. Everything was fine until Friday. Then, when gaming, my FPS immediately dropped. This happened with every game. Even in the game menu, I don't get more than 15 FPS and I'm experiencing lag. I completely wiped/formatted the hard drive and reinstalled Windows. Unfortunately, that didn't help.
So I think it's not a software problem, but a hardware one. Probably throttling or poor cooling, or maybe I need to apply new thermal paste between the CPU and the fan.
I used to play at full resolution, but now it's impossible at minimum. My graphics driver is up to date. I also tried uninstalling a Windows update (KB5074109).
Everything seems fine in Task Manager.
I'm also getting too low an FPS in the Heaven benchmark.
I'm also sending screenshots for you to check. Maybe you'll find something there.
Now its really imposiblle to play something.
I really have no idea.
Thanks for help guys.

Hi Richie,
I have same issue with my laptop ... Low fps ... my gpu core clock is stuck at 210mhz and won't go higher did you check yours in nvidia app to see if the core clock is moving or is stuck ? If is stuck apparently is an EC firmware issue.. i spoke with medion support and told me to send the laptop to be checked and ec firmware to be fixed but due the lack of warranty for me is not worth it i'm using it as it is and when i'm playing i use the msi afterburner to force it .. and i get around 70 pfs but ili understood that is not recommended for heavy gaming ... So usually i play one -2 h max

Hi,
Sorry to hear that ... 😞 you can check my post as well to see what i have tried to fix it ... Is medior erazer p25 gpu stuck at 210mhz ... I also ask medion supprt for another bios which i upgrade it to newer version but still nothing... But you can try to do what i have tried maybe for you will work hopefully.
The medion support told me to send the laptop for ec firmware check because it seems to be that ..and cannot be done by the user ...but as i told you for me is not worth the investment as i'm not using ot for games anymore and when i want to play i use msi afterburmer for 1h to force clock the gpu...
Good luck.

Hi Richie,
Glad to hear that :).
For me the problem still persists and most likely to be the EC firmware 🙂

Hi @Richie1801
is that real, do you really reflash your laptop vbios and it's fixed?, i've heard it's so risky and not worth the try
