Help to find a HardDisk Drive for Medion Akoya e5211 (md 97356) MSN: 30010738

Hi all,

I need your help to find a new HardDisk for my laptop. The old/broken hard disk was a Hitachi 5K500 B-320 HTS545032B9A300 5400RPM SATA 3Gb/s Type: TS5SAA320

I tried to find a new one to buy it but it is out of stock. So, I would like to buy a new one (with warranty) but I don't know what HardDisks will be compatible at 100% with my laptop.

I have seen in amazon a Western Digital HD that could be fine, but I'm not sure if it will fix properly in my laptop (the dimensions are similar but not the same, and the HD is SATA III at 6Gb/s instead 3Gb/s)

Hi @yurepa, 

The Hitachi 5k500 is a standard size 2.5 inch notebook harddisk, any 2.5 inch notebook harddrive would fit into your notebook  dimension-wise, only the thickness sometimes varies but this should not be a problem. 

SATA 3 is also backward compatible with SATA 2 so that should not be a problem either (you'd just not use  the harddrives speed to its full potential)

I think the drive you linked to should work in your notebook without any problem.
