Battery 255 %

Laptop P6661 does not turn on with battery. The battery icon on taskbar shows  - 255 %available. Plugged in. If the charger is plugged off, the laptop shuts down immediately. Purchase a 2 new generic batteries - no success, The red light of battery on laptop panel is flashing when charger is connected.  Web wide ways to solve this issue was done. Nothing works. Somebody could help? Thanks in advance,

@BGR

You should at least state the MSN number of your Laptop.

Second:  255% charging status I have never heard  of. It indicates  the charging circuit on the board seems to be defect (just a guess).

The fact that with two batteries replaced the same  occurs.

What  do you mean t with:

Purchase a 2 new generic batteries - no success  "  so no orig. batteries from Medion?

Did you check the amperage the Charger delivers? It could be defective.

Hi, thanks for reply. The laptop's MSN 30020565. Sure I bought non original Medion batteries. The charger is OK, another laptop charges well.

@BGR

Sure the non original batteries have same spec as the original ones?

So the only thing you could do ist replacing the power board:

https://www.medion.com/medionserviceshop/de/p/gehause-medion-erazer-p6661-md-99953--be-30020565

Scroll down, then you scroll down, then you see the powerboard entry:

hello @BGR and welcome
Please check the volts of the old battery with your current one.
The A41-D15 44Kh battery was delivered/operated with 15.2 volts or 11.4 volts in some models

bye Fishtown

The laptop runs well when charger is plugged in. Do you really think the problem could be on power board?
