Temperature issues: my keyboard is hot just with some browser navigation

Hello, i have an issue with the temperature felt on the keyboard, my pc is less than 1 years old. I want to know if it is possible to disable the intel arc and so to dissipate less power or anything that can get the things better. Thanks.

Hi @giorginho88

Please verify all vents are not blocked and you are using your device on a hard flat surface, the below instructions may assist in disabling intel arc, the Intel site also have options on how to do this

Disabling Intel Arc Control at Startup:

  1. Open the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
  2. Switch to the "Startup" tab.
  3. Locate "Intel Arc Control" in the list of startup applications.
  4. If found, select "Intel Arc Control," then click "Disable" at the bottom right.

Adjusting Notification Settings:

  1. Launch "Intel Arc Control" and click the "Settings" icon.
  2. Navigate to "App Preferences" and select "Notification."
  3. Turn off the "Show notification" option.
  4. Close "Intel Arc Control" and restart your system.
  5. This should prevent non-essential pop-ups.

Uninstall and Reinstall:

  1. Uninstall the "Intel Arc Control" Software.
  2. Install or reinstall the latest Intel Arc and Iris Xe Graphics driver.
  3. Perform a clean installation of Intel Graphics Drivers.

Thanks

Thanks but i didn't mean to disable the intel arc control, i meant to poweroff the dedicated gpu and stay just with the integrated graphics.

You can disable Nvidia Optimus in Control Center in general settings, but I think that does the opposite of what you are asking.
