Medion Erazer P6689 RAM upgrade

My sons laptop needs an upgrade and I have looked at a few sites that sell RAM upgrades and there seems to be a discrepancy with regard to how much the max RAM the laptop can hold. Can somebody please confirm if the max is 16gb or 32gb.

Thanks

Hi @Daniel333  and welcome

official according to the database:

1x 8192 MB DDR4 SO-DIMM (PC4-19200 / 2400 MHz)
(1/2 covered; 16 GB max.)

Hi @Daniel333

it is always recommended to take a kit.

It is unlikely to find a single identical Ram. If you have any, feel free to try them out. I wouldn't buy an extra one, just a kit.

you can then sell the current one.

@Fishtown Thanks so much for the reply.

Sorry for what is probably a basic question but can I just confirm that your message means all I need to do is buy an additional 1x 8192 MB DDR4 SO-DIMM (PC4-19200 / 2400 MHz) to upgrade it to 16GB?

Or is it better to buy a 16gb kit of 2 identical 8gb?
