Hey guys,
Curious question. I have a deputy P10 with a GTX 1660ti and an i5-10300h, MSN: 30029473. Love the laptop, not the temperatures. The CPU hits 100c while gaming.I've tried undervolting but to no success. Does anyone have a BIOS update that may help? current on version 2.11 and wondering if a new version would help? or if anyone else has other help would really appreciate it!
Mnay thanks,
Adam

Hey thanks for the reply! Yeah it throttles alright, hits about 3.7/3.8ghz when it hits that temp, which I still think is very high….fans are at 100% at that temperature so nothing I can do there. Any help is appreciated!

Hey,
without sounding smart, what could they do for me if I sent it back for warranty? I had presumed it was just the design of the laptop, or am I wrong?

Sorry, let me expand my last,
The temperature is dependent on a lot of variables including environmental, type of load etc.
While temps of 100c are not unheard of while under high load, perhaps there are certain other factors that could be changed to improve the heat dispersion such as repasting the CPU, cooling stands, dusting etc.
The warranty solution was pointing towards the repasting of the CPU if required. Depending on how old the laptop is of course.
Thanks

Thanks for expanding! The laptop is only a year old so it really shouldn’t be the paste, so I feel I can write that one off the list, so maybe I’ll just have to look at adjusting clocks and trying to keep it well ventilated
