Erazer X40 Beast - additional SSD slot?

Hi!

Anyone knows whether Erazer X40 Beast have a second SSD slot or not? Is it NVMe or Sata?

Hello @cellux, and welcome to the community.

The Beast X40 is available in different configurations, e.g. with 1TB or 2TB storage. In the 2TB version, both ports are already occupied, while the 1TB version still has one free slot.

The SSDs installed in the laptop run with NVMe 1.4.

Thank you for the information. Have the 1 TB model. After opening the case I indeed found an empty slot and the new nvme ssd drive works perfectly. 🙂

How many TB fit into that other slot?

What is the size?

Which SSD did you buy?

All help would be greatly appreciated, because I still only have 1 TB on my, and I'll need to acquire more space, hopefully with an internall drive, otherwise I'll need to get an external one.
