Erazer Beast 18 X1 RGB Lighting

I have recently purchased the Beast 18 X1 laptop and was hoping to customise the RGB lighting for the keyboard however the included Medion app doesn't have custom settings, just pre-built patterns.

I looked into openRGB but it doesn't seem to support the Medion hardware.

What controller does the Medion use and how is it interfaced?  USB, SMBus?

The model I have is MD62746 (MSN 30039661)
