Hi,
Here is the setup that seemed to lead to the bug.
1: Plugged the laptop to an external monitor with display port cable (through dp mini adapter).
2: Setted up external as main screen
3: worked fine plug/unplug/reboot/sleep for 2 weeks
4: something happened (windows update near (W10 22H2 x64 KB5035845) - 14/03), now when uplugged without any external then put to sleep, then woken up, screen stay black (while fan running/power button lighten/keyboard aswell)
# Can hard reboot it (5sec press power button) and kinda come back to senses
# Can plug it to external monitor to then select "duplicate" instead of default extend, then unplug
anything else result in the laptopt screen staying black
Screen event state some "Device not started (igfx)"
External screen was msi g27c5
Any idea of the issue and how to solve it ? (Also, screen "update driver" button state that the latest is installed, didn't try to uninstall driver in the fear of it staying black ad vitam)
Tried the following:
- Set the laptop screen as default again (no change)
- Several restarts while screen working fine, then sleep. Sleep trigger the black screen bug
- Update driver of laptop screen (Win detect it as the latest)
- Set the screen extend to duplicate instead before rebooting (no change)
EDIT:
Updated W10 to W11, seems to do the trick.
Also noticed while the spywa... hem, the update was downloading that the screen driver was updated by the latest update. It is entirely possible that just revert back to the factory driver would have done the trick nicely (update driver => select on laptop > default driver (offline))
Hope this help some people later on. Kudo on (https://community.medion.com/t5/ERAZER-Gaming/Erazer-Crawler-e30-standby-hibernate-problem/m-p/16246...) that gave the idea

Hi @lemon, welcome the the MEDION Community.
thank you for your question and the appropriate solution 😉
Before finishing the complete post I was asking myself, if the cause might be a combination of driver, cable and the dp adapter, but yeah.. setting back the driver to factory settings is always a good idea after any kind of issues..
Cheers and maybe you also can provide some further feedback after a few weeks or a few updates 😉
