Hello everyone.
When i boot up my laptop with Windows11, from time to time, my Erazer Deputy P60i starts emitting strange sounds like an alarm. They are repeating at about 4-5 seconds interval and they are very loud. Today after the fifth horn-blaring sound, i've connected the charger and the sound stopped. A quick glance showed me the battery was about 30%. its possible the charge indicator is wrong and the sound was actually a low battery warning?
I keep the charging setting to charge the battery at 100%. It's ok for this laptop ? or should i use personalized charging ?
thank you in advance.
Polo

Hi Polo.
Peronalized charging with the borders set at 30 % at low and upper value at 65-70% is less battery life consuming. And with 30 % at low you still have some charging capacity left over to use the Laptop mobile for a short while.
If more is needed for mobile computing, you can vary the charging borders for example in between 55 % and 75 %.
The background is that charging from lets say 80 % up to 100% stresses the battery more than between 40 to 60%. Especially even more the last 10 % the charge is pressed against the exceptionally increasing inner resistance of an almost fully charged battery.
Same for the lower part between 5% up to 25 %. You should never discharge a battery lower than 5-10 % before recharging.
So to gain most of battery life, personalized charging interval in the above named approximate limits will extend its lifespan.
Cheers, daddle
