I have been using my old medion erazer x5321 pc tower from back in the day for some amazing retro game sessions alot lately and after many years my faithful old nvidia geforce gtx 570 has expired
My friend gave me a fully working nvidia msi branded geforce 1660 ti to use and after checking with google it said its compatable 🤔
I though it would be a simple use ddu in safe mode and then install new gpu and boot and install new drivers 😂😂
The motherboard is a ms-7681 version 3.2 which is a oem rebranded MSI P67A-GD53/GD55/GD65
Google says it is uefi so should be ok 🤔
When i do use ddu in safe mode then shut down and install the new gpu and then restart it gets to the erasure splash screen and then just freezes , the keyboard is lit up and when i press the delete button it does nothing except a clicking noise , usually this would take me to the bios ?? After a few minutes the screen goes black and thats it
The power supply is the one that came with the machine which is a FSL GROUP FSP600-80 EMDN 600 watt atx , once again google says its powerful enough for the 1660 ti
I have done the cmos reset / clear and still cant get past the erasure splash screen
Oh and as for maybe a bios update i found some on a old german site for this board but theres 4 on there
Bios Update MS 7681 (AHCI + OC)
Bios Update MS 7681 (AHCI)
Bios Update MS 7681 (RAID + OC)
Bios Update MS 7681 (RAID)
They all are for win 7 64bit but the pc is now on win10 and i wouldnt know what one i should use
I have used a working 570 gtx from a friend and thats ok just confused as to why the 1660 ti dont 🤔🤔
Any ideas would be a great help or even a sorry pal it wont ever work as its not compatable is fine 👍
