Hi fellows nerds.
Im trying to upgrade my RAM fra 2x2 GB to 2x8 GB
My specs are:
i3 processor 3,2GHz
win 7 home premium 64.
My BIOS is from 2010 and I would think that it is the problem I face.
Is there any way to get an update to my bios?
Thanks.

@SirPen, Welcome to the ccommunity.
Checking out your PC at the german service pages and looking into the manual on page 44 (which you should have also, accompanying your PC), it says only 2x 4gb are supported.
The mainboard has 2 DIMM-sockets, for maximum 4 GB each
The BIOS automatically senses the modules size, type and speed .
Specs.:
240-pin DIMMs with 1333 MHz / 1066 MHz
DDR3 (unbufferd), 1.5 V
Single- oder Double-Sided DIMM. The mainboard may be equipped with modules of different sizes, but only with identical speed (frequencies).
For optimal performance make use of the slots in following order:
DIMM_1 + DIMM_2

Thanks Daddle.
Had more or less come to the same conclusion but nice to get it confirmed.
