I have a Medion AKOYA P3605D PC with Win10 operating system. I would like to upgrade it to Win11. I did check wiith PC Health program, tham my processor ( AMD Ryzen 5-1500X ) is not compatible with Win11. So I bought a AMD Ryzen 5-2600X which should be.
When I tried to start with the new processor the system did not load at all. My questions are:
1. Does this motherboard (Medion P2A4-EM ver.1.0) supports my new processor?
2. If yes, do I need to update the bios or do I need to do anything else to make them work?
3. If the bios needs to be updated, where can I find a newer version and how can I update it?
I would be thankfull for any advise in this topic since the support of Win10 will be finished soon. Thanks.

Hello @MuadDib and welcome
Actually it should work.
Is this your computer? https://www.medion.com/gb/service/product-detail/10021776
Then you have an ECS P2A4-EM/B350 board that can handle a CPU with up to 95 watts. https://community.medion.com/t5/kb/en/ta-p/138828
The chipset is also OK B350/X370 and the 5-2600x has 95 watts.

So there is nothing against it. Was this a new or used CPU?

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. Yes I think this is my PC. It is good to know that it should work without any problem. The new CPU is a used one. do you think it is damaged?

Hello @MuadDib ,
I read further and there are some posts that only the first generation is supported by this board.
The information in the FAQ may not be correct.

Wow, thanks for your help. This is not a good news. If you were right than I have no chance to upgrade my Windows to 11.
