Erazer P64001 will not boot.

Hi, I have an Erazer P64001 that will not boot in to anything.

It started the other night after a windows update but I think that is just a coincidence. I can not even get in to the bios or choose a boot device.

When I turn it on after about 10 seconds the CPU fan seems to run pretty fast. A monitor and a TV know something is connected but no signal at all.

I have removed the RAM and changed slots still the same problem. I have also disconnected all drives and still get the same problem. Removed CMOS still same problem.

Does anyone have any ideas before I go down the road of returns?

Cheers.

Sorry for the late reply been away.

No worries and thank you for taking the time to try help. I have tried everything. From a new hard drive, another stick of ram and even new thermal paste.

Nothing would work so my guess is the CPU or MOBO has decided to call it a day. I

Medion though so far has been absolutely brilliant. They have picked it up and now just waiting for a return.

If they tell me the problem I will let you know.

Hi @eporoom ,

I would not assume so fast that your case is a coincidence.

To check, you can try to reset your NB to the factory settings (the process for doing so is described at your user manual).

If it does bring your NB back then I would be cautious reinstalling the updates.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

NB? Do you mean notebook?

As this is not a notebook that would be hard.

Hi @eporoom ,

I am really sorry for my mistake.

The recommendations are still the same if you change NB by PC.

Have you tried that?

Regards,

Gehringer
