E23401 AiO not compatible with WD Blue 3D SSD m.2 2280 500GB?

Hi,

I have purchased a WD Blue 3D SSD m.2 2280 model for the wife's E23401 AiO that I use for remote work. I did as much research as possible and thought this drive would be suitable.  After inserting it into the m.2 drive, going into the bios I see that it doesn't show up there or in Windows.

model of drive is : WDS500G2B0B

Is this drive not compatible with this AiO?

Thanks,

Mark

Hello @MarkDP and welcome

The computers E23401 that have built in an SSD all have a PCIe.

but you have a SATA. You may be able to exchange them.

Hi Fishtown,

Thank you for your reply. I do have both ports, an m.2 and a Sata drive which is already connected.

Am I not able to use both ports on this model of computer?

Hi @MarkDP

you say yes the connections are available.

what's your MSN number?

there is also E23401 with both so there is nothing against it.

for example: E23401 (MD61336) AIO UK

with:

HDD 2TB SATA ST2000LM015

SSD M.2 (2280) 256GB Phision PS5012-E12 PCIe

The msn is 30027180. My previous reply shows that my research wasn't good enough and i purchased the wrong SSD. The one I ordered has two cutouts on the connecting edge where the PCIe should only have one. I was too eager!
