Hello,
I have a problem with my Medion MD 86250 (MSN: 5003 9682) internet radio (also known as ALDI X85008)
The device works almost well:
- it initializes properly when powered on,
- leaves stand-by mode when pressing the volume knob,
- touchscreen works properly
- system reacts properly to the options chosen on the touchscreen.
The only issue is there is no sound. Unfortunately it is a key functionality when talking about the radio. 😞
- The internal speakers remain silent doesn't matter what the volume level is,
- There is no sound via headphones socket,
- When attached to the external aplifier via cinches ("Line Out" socket) the sound is hearable - although it is about twice quieter than the other devices attached to this amplifier.
I wonder if it is a malfunction of the motherboard.
Can you please help me to solve my issue? Did somebody had the same problem with this radio?

Hey, the good news: Radio is repaired. 🙂 I've met the genius professional who were able to track the problem without service manual. 🙂
The reason of sound malfunction was the broken link at pin 1 (VCC) of CSC2314F sound processor on "2230-04476-ED000" board. Resoldering the connection restored the sound from the internal speakers.

Hi @Templar
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
Check Volume Settings: Ensure the volume is turned up on the device itself, as well as any external controls (if applicable).
I have attached a screenshot of the troubleshooting suggested in the user manual of the radio:
Best regards

Thank you for your help and suggestion, but unfortunately this is not the case. The factory reset didn't help. This seem to be an issue in electronic circuit. Service manual for that model would be the best help to repair it.
When opened the case (not an easy task due to partially glued elements) there are two electronic boards and a set of connectors. The boards are signed as:
-> "2230-04476-ED300" - probably the motherboard with main computer
-> "2230-04476-ED000" - a power supply socket, CSC2314F input selector and amplituner circuit with YD7377 chip
Unfortunately checking the YD7377 chip didn't lead to solution: this chip just seem to work OK (the voltage levels on outputs are just fine). It is possible that the reason is either a break in the circuit or discrete element (resistor, condenser) malfunction. It is hard to find the wrong element without the scheme, because it is unknown where are the control points on the board and what should be the proper voltage levels (or oscilloscope signal waveform).
The other solution would be to buy a new (fully working) "2230-04476-ED000" board. Where can I find one?
