Hello, I have a Medion ERAZER Beast 18 X1 laptop. After reinstalling Windows, the internal keyboard completely stopped working. The RGB lighting works, but the keyboard does not send any input at all, not even inside the BIOS. I have already performed all recommended steps: – EC hard reset (40 seconds, power button, charger disconnected) – Entered BIOS immediately afterward and loaded BIOS default settings – Reinstalled all drivers from the Medion support page – Installed Control Center and all related components – Ran the Medion Support diagnostic tool (it freezes during the display test and never completes) Despite all of this, the keyboard still does not work in BIOS or Windows. It appears that the EC firmware on my motherboard is stuck or corrupted. Could you please provide the correct EC firmware for my motherboard revision so I can reflash the EC controller? Thank you. Hi @daddle , I'm updating the info as requested. My laptop is the Medion Erazer Beast X18 with an RTX 5080 (175W). I am definitely using the Thunderbolt 5 port. The problem is that I can only get 10-bit color at 120Hz. If I set it to 144Hz or 180Hz, the screen randomly goes black for a few seconds. This "black blinking" happens mostly during gaming when the GPU is under load. I have already tried multiple 8K/16K cables and the NVIDIA MPO fix, but the issue persists. Is there a specific BIOS or TBT5 firmware update for the Beast X18 to fix this? My Setup: Laptop: Medion Erazer Beast 18 x1 MSN: 3003 9673 Port: USB-C Thunderbolt 5 (TBT5 + DP1.4 dGPU + PD100W) Monitor: MSI MAG 27CQ6F (WQHD, 180Hz, DP 1.4) Cable: Ugreen USB-C to DisplayPort (Tested both 8K and 16K versions) The Issues: Random Blackouts: The screen goes black for 2-3 seconds at random intervals, both during gaming and desktop use. Color Depth Limitation: I am unable to select 10-bit color depth if the refresh rate is set higher than 120Hz. When I try to go to 144Hz or 180Hz, the system forces 8-bit color or the signal becomes extremely unstable. Technical Questions: Is the DP 1.4 implementation on this TBT5 port limited in bandwidth, or is this a DSC (Display Stream Compression) handshake issue? Since the port is routed through the dGPU, is there a specific VBIOS or Firmware update to stabilize high-bandwidth signals (WQHD @ 180Hz + 10-bit)? Could the PD100W feature be causing electrical interference with the DisplayPort signal on the same port?
