Okay so a bit of a long winded one but any help or input would be amazing because I'm about to return this laptop if I can't resolve this. The laptop is advertised as having HDMI 2.1 capability, aka 4k@120hz. However the laptop's internal RTX 4050 GPU isn't connected to the hdmi output making this redundant. My Medion control center has no option to select a specific GPU mode, be it onboard graphics or dedicated GPU like the pamphlet that came with my laptop said it should. The Nvidia control panel also has only the minimum options showing that the GPU is in fact associated with the mini display port 1.4. The Nvidia panel also shows the information for my GPU and "advanced Optimus" listed as "no". The laptop is sold as having as advanced Optimus as a feature. There is no MUX switch I can find, I've tried reinstalling Nvidia drivers, I reinstalled the shipping drivers to no avail, I even downloaded files direct from medion.de and repaired the broken files only to find it's the same package. I can't find any BIOS update at all for this laptop. I also reinstalled the control center and factory reset to no avail. Everything just shows intel hd graphics as the display adapter on the laptop and on external screens with no option to choose the RTX 4050, the hdmi 2.1 is useless. I am using a verified 48gbps Hdmi 2.1 cable and an LG OLED C3 hdmi TV. I feel like I've been ripped off, no hdmi 2.1 and no advanced Optimus at all. The GPU does run under load and perform in games and that's great but it means I have no access to display settings as the dGpu only kicks in when games launch. If a laptop is advertised as Hdmi 2.1, and I'm using a Hdmi 2.1 cable..on a Hdmi 2.1 TV with 4k resolution and 120hz then surely I shouldn't be capped at 4k@60hz? Very frustrating and I'm at my wits end ready to return unless anyone can help. Thank you all.
