Micro SATA

Definition

The connector was in competition with the mSATA and should not be confused with it. The connector was introduced with SATA 2.6 in February 2007. It was intended in particular for 1.8″ hard drives / SSDs, but has been completely replaced by the M.2 interface for several years.
