Laptop logicboard/back housing replacement: Medion S66445

I have here a Medion S66445 which has a screw-fastening issue on the charging port-side where the screw fixing the backplate to the logicboard/keyboard section is spinning in its slot. This has resulted in the screen fastening creating a gap in the body every time it's opened. It seems the screw goes through the backplate, through the screen hinge and should fix into the body. The catch underneath the hinge has broken away from the plastic housing. Is this something that can be repaired?

@betterc4llsol

The threaded points for the hinge screws are apart of the top casing(part number 40070909 W/KB) which will need to be swapped.

Id recommend contacting your local Medion service center to arrange the repair.

Thanks

Hi Betterc4llsol!

Welcome to the community 😊

Do you have the MSN number of the S66445?

Pictures might help me identify the problem, do you have any?

Thanks
