If a battery-powered device is operated in standby mode for a certain period of time, its battery will discharge. If the battery power is no longer sufficient to operate the jobsite radio, it switches off after a short time.
If the battery is discharged, the job site radio can only be put back into operation once the battery voltage has reached a certain level. Charge your job site radio sufficiently before you switch it on again.
